Ariyamagga sutta: the noble path

Ariyamagga sutta: the noble path the situation in which

"Priests, these four kinds of kamma happen to be directly recognized, verified, & made known by me. Which four? There’s kamma that’s dark with dark result. There’s kamma that’s vibrant with vibrant result. There’s kamma that’s dark & vibrant with dark & vibrant result. There’s kamma that’s neither dark nor vibrant with neither dark nor vibrant result, resulting in the ending of kamma.

"And what’s kamma that’s dark with dark result? There’s the situation in which a certain person fabricates an injurious bodily fabrication, fabricates an injurious verbal fabrication, fabricates an injurious mental fabrication. Getting fabricated an injurious bodily fabrication, getting fabricated an injurious verbal fabrication, getting fabricated an injurious mental fabrication, he rearises within an injurious world. On rearising within an injurious world, he’s there touched by injurious contacts. Touched by injurious contacts, he encounters feelings which are solely painful, like individuals from the beings in hell. This really is known as kamma that’s dark with dark result.

"And what’s kamma that’s vibrant with vibrant result? There’s the situation in which a certain person fabricates a non-injurious bodily fabrication … a non-injurious verbal fabrication … a non-injurious mental fabrication … He rearises inside a non-injurious world … There he’s touched by non-injurious contacts … He encounters feelings which are solely enjoyable, like individuals from the Beautiful Black Devas. This really is known as kamma that’s vibrant with vibrant result.

"And what’s kamma that’s dark & vibrant with dark & vibrant result? There’s the situation in which a certain person fabricates a bodily fabrication that’s injurious & non-injurious … a verbal fabrication that’s injurious & non-injurious … a mental fabrication that’s injurious & non-injurious … He rearises within an injurious & non-injurious world … There he’s touched by injurious & non-injurious contacts … He encounters injurious & non-injurious feelings, pleasure mingled with discomfort, like individuals of people, some devas, and a few beings within the lower realms. This really is known as kamma that’s dark & vibrant with dark & vibrant result.

Ariyamagga sutta: the noble path Right view, right resolve, right

"And what’s kamma that’s neither dark nor vibrant with neither dark nor vibrant result, resulting in the ending of kamma? Right view, right resolve, right speech, right action, right livelihood, right effort, right mindfulness, right concentration. This really is known as kamma that’s neither dark nor vibrant with neither dark nor vibrant result, resulting in the ending of kamma.

"These, priests, would be the four kinds of kamma directly recognized, verified, & made known by me."

!TWD&AHS!: Question: if I accidentally injure a spider ect. Do I release it back into the garden injured, possibly unable to defend itself and die or do I put it 'out of its misery' there and then. It might be a stupid question but I'm new to all this and want yo know what, in the long run would be more compassionate?

!TWD&AHS!: ok thank you :)
